Round-up:

In the early kick-off, Manchester United finally moved off 6th place in the league after beating Middlesbrough 3-1. Marouane Fellaini gave the away side the lead from a header in the 30th minute. Jesse Lingard then doubled the lead with a wonderful goal, followed by a celebration which could be part of a competition for 'celebration of the season'. Rudy Gestede brought Middlesbroughback in the game, scoring in the 77th minute to set up a nervy end to the game. Antonio Valencia then killed the game off after he chased down a backpass to Victor Valdes, who perhaps rather embarassingly, slipped to gift Valencia a simple finish, to the point that he probably won't score an easier goal all season.

Tottenham Hotspur kept their faint hopes of winning the title alive, after beating Southampton 2-1. Christian Eriksen gave Tottenham the lead after 14 minutes. Dele Alli then doubled the lead from the penalty spot, which made it the first ever penalty that he has scored in professional football, not that you would have known it as he tucked it away with ice-cool composure. James Ward-Prowse then scored for Southampton which brought them back in the game, and Tottenham were rather nervy in the second half, however, held on for their 3rd consecutive win in the league.

In the final match of the day and the final one before the international break, and arguably the most anticipated match of the whole weekend, neither Manchester nor Liverpool could be separated, as Manchester City and Liverpool played out an entertaining 1-1 draw. After a goalless first-half, Liverpool were awarded a disputable penalty, however, James Milner couldn't be bothered as he converted the penalty to give them the lead. Sergio Aguero then equalised for Manchester City in the 69th minute, however, this was not the end of the drama. Adam Lallana inexplicably missed an absolute sitter (you would have put your house on him scoring - it was that unbelievable!), whilst then Sergio Aguero missed a glorious chance at the other end, one you would have expected him to score.
