Round-up:

In today's early kick-off, Tottenham Hotspur won away to newly-promoted Newcastle United at St James' Park. The first-half was a tight affair and ended goalless, however the game completely changed when Jonjo Shelvey got sent off for a moment of madness after stepping on Dele Alli, however, it is arguable whether Alli exaggerated the contact. Howev,er Alli surely had the last laugh, scoring the opening goal for the away side in the 61st minute, before Ben Davies wrapped up the win for the away side.

In the 5pm (CEST) kick-off, Manchester United sent out a message to the Premier League, throwing down the gauntlet to the rest by trashing West Ham United 4-0. New signing Romelu Lukaku gave the home side the lead in the 33rd minute after a lovely pass from Marcus Rashford. He then doubled the lead in the 52nd minute thanks to a delivery from a free-kick from Henrikh Mkhitaryan. In the 87th minute, Anthony Martial secured the win for the hosts in the 87th minute with a clinical finish before Paul Pogba completed the scoring with a shot from distance.
