Sebastian Vettel has claimed pole position for the 2017 Mexican Grand Prix, just pipping Red Bull's Max Verstappen on the last flying lap of Q3 to keep his slim World Championship hopes alive. Had Verstappen qualified on pole, he would have become the youngest driver ever to start on pole position. Lewis Hamilton has qualified on third for Mercedes, with team-mate Valtteri Bottas following in fourth. Esteban Ocon had an impressive qualifying, qualifying ahead of Red Bull driver Daniel Ricciardo in order to start sixth.
Max Verstappen is actually under investigation for impeding Valtteri Bottas during Q3, however, in my opinion it would be extremely harsh if he were to be given a penalty - he did attempt to go off the racing line to get out of the Finn's way.
