Sauber F1 team (who have Alfa Romeo as a sponsor) have announced their driver line-up for the 2018 season, with Ferrari Driver Academy member and Monegasque driver Charles Leclerc, who is the current Formula 2 champion and will be replacing Mercedes junior driver Pascal Wehrlein whose future in Formula 1 is now extremely uncertain, and current Sauber driver Marcus Ericsson driving the car for next year.
A tweet by the team confirming the news read:
"AND Ladies and Gentlemen, we now present to you the two drivers for the 2018 F1 Alfa Romeo Sauber F1 Team, Marcus Ericsson and Charles Leclerc."
