Round-up:
In today's early kick-off, Wolverhampton Wanderers edged out a seven-goal thriller against Leicester City in a match of two erratic defences, with Diogo Jota scoring a hat-trick for Wolves. Jota gave the home side the lead after just 4 minutes, whilst Ryan Bennett doubled the lead a mere 8 minutes later. Leicester battled back and managed to level the game to 2-2, thanks to goals from Demarai Gray and an own goal by Conor Coady. Jota restored Wolves' lead in the 64th minute after a superb pass by Ruben Neves. Wes Morgan equalised once again for Leicester City in the 85th minute, but just when it looked like the spoils would be shared, Jota popped up to complete his hat-trick with a 95th minute winner.
Leaders Liverpool also were involved in a seven-goal thriller, edging out Crystal Palace. Andros Townsend gave Palace the lead after 34 minutes, but as soon as the second half resumed Mo Salah equalised for the hosts, whilst Firmino put them in front seven minutes later. Palace levelled again in the 65th minute thanks to James Tomkins. Salah bagged his second of the game in the 75th minute, and from then on Liverpool never blew their lead - Mane scored a fourth in the 93rd minute, whilst Max Meyer scored a scant consolation for Crystal Palace two minutes later. James Milner was sent off for Liverpool after 2 yellow cards. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's Manchester United made it six successive wins in the League, which is the most successful start a Manchester United manager has ever made, after eating Brighton & Hove Albion 2-1 thanks to a penalty from Paul Pogba and a goal from Marcus Rashford, with Pascal Gross scoring a consolation for the Sussex side. AFC Bournemouth returned to winning ways after beating West Ham United 2-0 thanks to goals from Callum Wilson and Joshua King. In a crucial game down at the bottom, Newcastle United earned a massive win at home to Cardiff City, thanks to a brace from defender Fabian Schar and a goal from Ayoze Perez in a 3-0 win. Southampton made it successive wins after claiming a 2-1 win at home to Everton thanks to an own goal from Lucas Digne which followed from a goal by James Ward-Prowse - whilst Sigurdsson scored a 91st-minute consolation. This was Ralph Hassenhuttl's fourth win since taking over at St Mary's (in 8 games), which is more than Mark Hughes managed (3) in 22 games. Elsewhere, Watford were held to a goalless draw at home by struggling Burnley.
In the evening kick-off, Arsenal gave their Champions League qualification hopes a massive boost after claiming a 2-0 win at home to Chelsea thanks to goals from Alexandre Lacazette and Laurent Koscielny.
