Round-up:
Luton Town took advantage of the fact that Portsmouth were not in League 1 action this weekend as they are still involved in the FA Cup, by beating Southend United 1-0 away from home to take top spot, before they host Portsmouth in a top-of-the-table clash next Tuesday. Barnsley made it 3 consecutive wins after coming from behind to win 2-1 at home to Rochdale. Plymouth Argyle's run of four successive victories came to an end after they suffered a 1-0 defeat at the hands of Wycombe Wanderers.
Play-off contenders Peterborough United and Charlton Athletic played out a goalless draw, and this result seemingly cost Peterborough manager Steve Evans his job, as he was dismissed less than an hour later and has since been replaced by Darren Ferguson, son of Sir Alex Ferguson. Blackpool closed the gap to the play-off places to just six points after winning 2-0 away to Coventry City. Also, Fleetwood Town lost 1-0 at home to Scunthorpe United, whilst Burton Albion and struggling Bradford City played out a 1-1 draw.
