Barnsley moved up into second place after winning 2-0 at home to Scunthorpe United thanks to goals from Alex Mowatt and Cameron McGeehan. Portsmouth were the team leapfrogged in second place, as they were held to a 1-1 draw at home to Doncaster Rovers. Sunderland earned their first win since New Year's Day thanks to an Aiden McGeady goal against bottom side AFC Wimbledon. Charlton Athletic suffered a 1-0 defeat away to Joey Barton's Fleetwood Town. Peterborough United are now without a win in their last 4 consecutive matches after they suffered a 1-0 defeat at home to Plymouth Argyle.
Unfortunately, due to adverse weather conditions, the match between Accrington Stanley and Blackpool was postponed. Coventry City were held to a 1-1 draw by struggling Gillingham.
