Round-up: The Bundesliga action resumed following the international break with the traditional Friday night kick-off, as Borussia Dortmund hosted bottom side SC Paderborn 07 in a match which saw a dramatic comeback. During the first half, the away side raced into a 3-0 lead thanks to a Streli Mamba brace which was followed by a strike from Gerrit Holtmann. If it was SC Paderborn 07 who scored 3 goals in the first half, in the second half, on the other hand, it was Borussia Dortmund who did so to salvage a point through goals from Jadon Sancho, Axel Witsel and Marco Reus in the 90th minute. Despite the comeback, it is fair to say that Borussia Dortmund have been struggling this season and the pressure is undoubtedly mounting on manager Lucien Favre, particularly as they tonight failed to beat the side who are bottom of the league. The action today saw league leaders Borussia Mönchengladbach saw their gap at the top cut to one point, as they fell to a 2-0 defeat away to 1.FC Union Berlin who recorded their third league win in succession, thanks to goals from Anthony Ujah and Sebastian Andersson. Bayern Munich, who seem to have benefitted from sacking Niko Kovac, took full advantage of the league leaders slipping up, as they recorded a 4-0 win away to Fortüna Dusseldorf thanks to goals from Benjamin Pavard, Corentin Tolisso, Serge Gnabry and Phillipe Coutinho. Meanwhile, SC Freiburg were held to a 1-1 draw away to Bayer Leverkusen, as Moussa Diaby cancelled out Lucas Holer's 5th minute strike which had put Freiburg in front. Schalke 04 brought themselves level on points with Freiburg (but behind on goal difference), as they recorded a 2-1 victory away at Werder Bremen thanks to goals from Amine Harit and Benito Raman, whilst Yuya Osako bagged a scant consolation for the hosts. Wolfsburg recorded their first win since the beginning of October, thanks to a 2-0 victory away to Eintracht Frankfurt which came as a result of goals from Wout Weghorst and Joao Victor, despite the fact that they were reduced to 10 men as Marcel Tisserand was sent off for two yellow cards.

The action today came to a conclusion with an evening kick-off, as RB Leipzig also reduced the gap to the top of the table to a point, as they recorded a 4-1 triumph at home to 1.FC Köln thanks to goals from Timo Werner and Konrad Laimer, in addition to a brace from Emil Forsberg (with the first of his goals coming via the penalty spot).
