Hertha Berlin 0 Wolfsburg 3
Round-up:
There were two Bundesliga matches which took place today. The early match involved RB Leipzig and last season's Europa League semi-finalist Eintracht Frankfurt, with the hosts coming out on top. Timo Werner gave RB Leipzig the lead inside 10 minutes, and although they had less of the ball, they doubled the lead ten minutes from times thanks to a Yussuf Poulsen strike. Eintracht Frankfurt did get a late goal through Goncalo Paciencia, but it was not enough as RB Leipzig held on to extend their 100% start to the season, and it has thus been a perfect start for their new manager Julian Nagelsmann, aged just 32 years old.
In the early evening kick-off, Wolfsburg also extended their 100% start to the season, as they comfortably won 3-0 away to Hertha Berlin, who had last week surprisingly held reigning champions Bayern Munich to a draw. Wout Weghorst gave Wolfsburg the lead inside just 9 minutes thanks to a goal from the penalty spot, before two goals in the second half from Croatian attacker Josip Brekalo and Jérôme Roussillon (which was assisted by Brekalo himself) sealed an impressive 3-0 win.
