Round-up: The EFL Championship's weekend action came to a conclusion with 3 fixtures being played today. Firstly, Swansea City kept their hopes of making the promotion play-offs alive, as they recorded a 2-1 win at home to Sheffield Wednesday thanks to goals from Rhian Brewster and André Ayew from the penalty spot, with Adthe Nuhiu scoring what proved to be a 90th minute goal for Sheffield Wednesday which proved to be a mere consolation. Middlesbrough's hopes of avoiding relegation were certainly not helped today, as they suffered a 1-0 defeat at home to mid-table Queens Park Rangers thanks to a 32nd minute goal from Jordan Hugill. Finally, the action concluded in the West Midlands, as second-placed West Bromwich Albion hosted fourth-from-bottom Hull City in what turned out to be an entertaining clash. The home side took the lead after only 4 minutes thanks to a goal from striker Charlie Austin, before that was cancelled out 20 minutes later thanks to Kevin Stewart. West Brom then restored their lead in the 37th minute thanks to a goal from defender Ahmed Hegazy, which gave them a 2-1 lead going into half-time. Hull City then equalised once more just 3 minutes into the second half thanks to Mallik Wilks, though parity lasted barely a minute as West Bromwich Albion made it 3-2 in the 49th minute thanks to Kamil Grosicki. Grady Diangana then wrapped up the win for West Brom 14 minutes, who then had Hegazy sent off for being shown a second yellow card in the 90th minute - in a result which strengthens West Brom's hopes of automatic promotion whilst maintaining Hull's relegation fears.
