Lincoln City bounced back from two consecutive defeats in style, as they won 2-0 at home to Fleetwood Town thanks to a brace from Tyler Walker, which moved them back into second place in the table. Blackpool maintained their unbeaten start to the season, recording their third consecutive draw after drawing 1-1 at home to Portsmouth. Marcus Harness had given Portsmouth the lead in the 17th minute, before Armand Gnanduillet levelled things up in the 58th minute. Peterborough United seem to have put their bad start to the season behind them, as they recorded a 3-0 win which inflicted a first defeat of the season on Sunderland thanks to a Marcus Maddison brace which was sandwiched by a Josh Knight goal. If suffering defeat was not bad enough, Sunderland were reduced to 10 men after defender Luke O'Nien was shown a straight red card. Coventry City threw away 2-0 and 3-2 leads away to Oxford United, as the home side ultimately rallied to earn a 3-3 draw. Zain Westbroke and Matt Godden put Coventry in what seemed to be cruise control, before a Jamie Mackie goal and an own goal from Fankaty Dabo resulted in Oxford bringing themselves back level at 2-2. It looked like Coventry were going to score a late winner as Callum O'Hare scored a 90th minute goal, before Elliott Moore rescued a point for Oxford. Burton Albion made it three consecutive matches unbeaten, as they recorded a 2-0 win at home to Bristol Rovers thanks to 2 late goals in the 87th and 90th minute from Lucas Akins and Ryan Edwards respectively. The completion of a takeover has not led to a change in results for Bolton Wanderers, who once again suffered a 5-0 defeat, this time at the hands of Gillingham who earned themselves their first win of the season. Southend United's miserable start to the season has continued, as they suffered a 3-0 defeat at home to Rochdale which means that they are still without a point after six league games. Accrington Stanley came from behind to beat Milton Keynes Dons 2-1 thanks to goals from Colby Bishop and Mark Hughes after Kieran Agard had given the Dons the lead, a result which has given Accrington their first league win of the season. Tranmere Rovers scored a 90th minute goal through Stefan Payne which ensured they took a share of the spoils in a 1-1 draw away to Rotherham United, whilst AFC Wimbledon and Wycombe Wanderers played out a goalless draw.
