Round-up: In the League 1 action that took place this weekend, Wycombe Wanderers retained their lead at the top of the table, as they recorded a 1-0 win at home to 10-man Doncaster Rovers thanks to a 90th minute penalty from Joe Jacobson, after Tom Anderson was sent off four minutes after half-time. The gap from Wycombe to second place increased to five points, as Ipswich Town were held to a 2-2 draw by Blackpool. Gwion Edwards gave Ipswich the lead after only 8 minutes, before that was cancelled out only 14 minutes later as Joseph Nuttall equalised for the away side. Jay Spearing then put Blackpool in front from the penalty spot in the 53rd minute, before that was cancelled out only 5 minutes as Ipswich equalised with a penalty of their own thanks to Luke Garbutt. As a result, Ipswich have fallen five points behind, however, they do have two games in hand, one of which is at home to league leaders Wycombe. Peterborough United closed the gap to 3 points and moved up into third place, as they recorded a 1-0 win at home to Burton Albion thanks to a 90th minute goal from Joe Ward. The fact Peterborough moved up into third place came as a result of Coventry City being held to a 1-1 draw by Sunderland, who salvaged a point thanks to a 90th minute goal from Benji Mbunga Kimpioka, after Dominic Hyam had given Coventry the lead. Another team who leapfrogged Coventry were Rotherham United, who came back from 2 goals down to win 3-2 away at Milton Keynes Dons thanks to goals from Daniel Barlaser followed by a brace from Freddie Ladapo, after the hosts had raced into a 2-0 lead thanks to goals from Alex Gilbey and Joe Mason, whilst they (the hosts) were also reduced to 10 men as Bailly Cargill was shown a straight red card in the 90th minute. As a result of Blackpool slipping up, Oxford United moved up into the play-offs, as they recorded a 4-0 win away to second-bottom Southend United thanks to goals from James Henry and Daniel Agyei, in addition to a Matt Taylor brace. Fleetwood Town also leapfrogged Blackpool, as they recorded a 2-1 victory at home to Tranmere Rovers thanks to goals from Josh Morris and Paddy Madden, whilst Paul Mullin scored what proved to be a scant consolation for the visitors. Bristol Rovers, meanwhile, edged out a seven-goal thriller away at Shrewsbury Town. The away side raced into a 2-0 lead thanks to goals from Tony Craig and Ollie Clarke, before the hosts halved the deficit thanks to a goal from Josh Laurent. The two-goal lead was then restored thanks to Liam Sercombe's goal two minutes into the second half, before Shrewsbury Town then equalised thanks to goals from Oliver Norburn and Josh Laurent who bagged his second goal of the match. Bristol Rovers then secured the victory thanks to an 87th minute goal from Abu Ogogo. Portsmouth recorded their first win in just over a month, as they won 3-0 away to Rochdale thanks to a Ronan Curtis brace followed by a goal from Ryan Williams. AFC Wimbledon put some distance between themselves and the relegation zone, after they recorded a 1-0 win thanks to a 19th minute goal from Scott Wagstaff, as Gillingham were reduced to 10 men as Ben Pringle was shown a straight red card in the 90th minute. Bolton Wanderers' run of three successive league victories came to an end, and in a rather humiliating fashion too, as Accrington Stanley came from behind to beat them 7-1 thanks to goals from Dion Charles, in addition to two goals each for Colby Bishop (one of which came from the penalty spot), Sean McConville and Offrande Zanzala, after Daryl Murphy had given the away side the lead.
