Round-up: The League 1 weekend action saw a change at the top of the table, as Rolando Aarons' 57th minute goal was sufficient to give Wycombe Wanderers a 1-0 win at home to Shrewsbury Town, who were reduced to 10 men as Ro-Shaun Williams was shown two yellow cards in the 90th minute. In addition to their own victory, the fact Wycombe Wanderers moved to the league summit was due to the fact that Ipswich Town were not in league action this weekend given that Bury were expelled from the EFL. Peterborough United, however, missed the chance to leapfrog Ipswich in the table, as they suffered a 4-3 defeat away at Blackpool. Mo Eisa's 13th minute goal gave Peterborough the lead, before that was cancelled out 14 minutes later thanks to a Niall Mason own goal. Armand Gnanduillet's 41st minute goal put Blackpool in front, before that was cancelled out right on the stroke of half-time thanks to an Ivan Toney goal. Gnanduillet then bagged his second goal of the game, this time from the penalty spot to give Blackpool the lead once more, before that was cancelled out yet again from the penalty spot, as Marcus Maddison scored a penalty of his own in the 71st minute. Peterborough then contributed to their own downfall once more, as Dan Butler's 74th minute own goal gave Blackpool the victory. Fleetwood Town were another team in the top 6 to suffer a defeat, as Bolton Wanderers recorded a second consecutive league win at their expense. One may well argue that Bolton are slowly but surely on the up after their extremely tumultuous past year in which they entered into administration (and were not too far away from liquidation) and were deducted 12 points. Bolton took the lead in the 28th minute thanks to a goal from Chris O'Grady, before that was doubled five minutes later thanks to a Daryl Murphy goal. Josh Morris did half the deficit for Fleetwood in the 85th minute, however, Bolton held on to win 2-1 and record their second successive league victory. Oxford United leapfrogged Fleetwood Town into fifth place, as Matt Taylor's 90th minute goal salvaged them a point away at Portsmouth, who had taken the lead thanks to a 58th minute penalty from Gareth Evans. Sunderland recorded a second successive home league win under new manager Phil Parkinson, as a 20th minute goal from Luke O'Nien was sufficient to give them a 1-0 victory at home to struggling Southend United. Bristol Rovers ended a run of three successive league matches without victory, as they won 2-1 away to Rochdale thanks to an 8th minute goal from Victor Adeboyejo which was followed by an own goal from Eoghan 3 minutes later. Callum Camps' 44th minute goal did half the deficit for Rochdale, however, it proved to be a mere consolation as Bristol Rovers held on for the win. Rotherham United recorded their second win in three league games, as they won 3-0 away to Gillingham, thanks to a Matt Crooks brace which followed a Michael Smith goal. Doncaster Rovers twice came from behind to record a 2-2 draw at home to Burton Albion. David Templeton's 36th minute goal gave Burton Albion the lead, before that was cancelled out only 3 minutes later thanks to a goal from Jon Taylor. Burton Albion then retook the lead thanks to a Lucas Akins penalty in the 53rd minute, however, that lead lasted only 4 minutes as Kieran Sadlier equalised once more for the hosts to earn them a point. Tranmere Rovers recorded a 3-1 win away from home which extended Milton Keynes Dons' winless run to 9 matches. Rushian Hepburn-Murphy's 19th minute goal gave Tranmere the lead, before that was cancelled out 3 minutes before half-time thanks to a Ben Reeves goal. The key turning point of the match, however, arrived right on the stroke of half-time, as Kieran Agard was shown a straight red card which reduced MK Dons to 10 men. Hepburn-Murphy then bagged a second half brace, which ultimately completed his hat-trick, as Tranmere went on to record a 3-1 win. AFC Wimbledon required a 90th minute goal from Kwesi Appiah to salvage a point at home to Lincoln City, who had taken a 31st minute lead thanks to a Jack Payne goal. Meanwhile, Coventry City failed to win for a second successive match, as they were held to a goalless draw at home to Accrington Stanley.
