Round-up:

The League 2 action continued last night with a midweek round of fixtures. Exeter City went into the day top of the table, and they retained that spot as they recorded a 2-0 win over Port Vale thanks to 2 goals in the last 10 minutes, firstly from Ryan Bowman and then an own goal from Kieran Kennedy. As a result of other teams slipping up, Crewe Alexandra moved up into second place as they recorded a 2-1 win away to Leyton Orient thanks to goals from Eddie Nolan and a 90th minute winner from James Jones, after Jordan Maguire-Drew had cancelled out Nolan's earlier goal. Cheltenham Town moved into the automatic promotion places after they came from behind to record a 3-2 win at home to Bradford City. After a goalless first half, Jermaine Anderson gave Bradford the lead in the 51st minute, though that lead lasted just eight minutes after Gavin Reilly equalised for the hosts, and 10 minutes later Jake Doyle-Hayes put Cheltenham in front. Ben Richards-Everton levelled for Bradford in the 76th minute, before four minutes later Ben Tozer scored what proved to be the winning goal for Cheltenham. One team who slipped out of the automatic promotion places was Swindon Town, as they suffered an undoubtedly disappointing 3-0 defeat at home to Colchester United thanks to a Theo Robinson brace which followed on from a Tom Eastman goal. The other team to slip out of the automatic promotion places was Forest Green Rovers, as they were held to a goalless draw away from home by Carlisle United. Salford City recorded their first win in the league since the opening day of the season thanks to a slender 1-0 victory over Grimsby Town with Mark Shelton scoring the goal. Walsall too earned their first league win since the opening day of the season as they recorded a narrow 1-0 win away to struggling Morecambe thanks to a goal from Stuart Sinclair inside just four minutes. It was a fourth successive winless game for Macclesfield Town, who were held to a 1-1 draw at home by Newport County, as Emmanuel Osadebe cancelled out Padraig Amond's first minute goal which had put Newport in front. Crawley Town and Plymouth Argyle took a share of the spoils in an entertaining 2-2 draw. Reece Grego-Cox put Crawley in front after just 9 minutes, before a brace from Joe Edwards in the space of six second half minutes turned the game on its head - but Crawley were then awarded a penalty five minutes from time which Oli Palmer converted to rescue a point. Stevenage, currently without a permanent manager, remain rooted to the foot of the table as they suffered a narrow 1-0 defeat at home to Northampton Town thanks to a 56th minute goal from Harry Smith. Cambridge United made it back-to-back wins as they scored four goals in the last 20 minutes away to Mansfield Town - with 3 of them coming in the last 5 minutes, who were reduced to 10 men just five minutes into the second half after a reckless challenge by Matt Preston. Scunthorpe United came back from two goals down to record a 2-2 draw at home to Oldham Athletic. Chris Missilou put Oldham in front in the 62nd minute, and 2 minutes later the lead was doubled thanks to Johan Branger. Matthew Lund then halved the deficit in the 68th minute, before just under 10 minutes later Kevin Van Veen put Scunthorpe back on level terms.
