Round-up: It was another weekend in League 2 filled with surprising results. After they led the table going into the weekend, Crewe Alexandra lost top spot as they suffered a 1-0 defeat away to still unbeaten Newport County, after a late goal from Padraig Amond. The team replacing them were Exeter City, as they scored a 91st minute winner after Morecambe had come back from a 2-0 deficit. Plymouth Argyle ended a two-game winless run in style, as they beat Walsall in a resounding 3-0 win. Bradford City suffered their first league defeat of the season, as they fell to narrow 1-0 loss at home to Forest Green Rovers. Grimsby Town recorded an impressive 5-2 win over Port Vale thanks to FIVE different goalscorers in the match. After getting their first point of the season on Tuesday, Oldham Athletic today recorded their first win of the season, as they inflicted a first defeat of the season on Cambridge United, thanks to a 2-1 victory. Despite leading twice in the match, Leyton Orient suffered a 3-2 defeat at home to Crawley Town as the away side scored two goals in the space of around 2 minutes. Swindon Town failed to win for a second successive league game, as this time they were held to a 2-2 draw by Cheltenham Town. Meanwhile, Colchester United recorded their first win of the season as they won 1-0 at home to Northampton Town. As was the case in their last match on Tuesday, Salford City came from behind to lead before eventually being pegged back - as they played out a 2-2 draw away to Carlisle United. Macclesfield Town bounced back from a surprise defeat at home to Morecambe by beating bottom-of-the-table Scunthorpe United by a goal to nil, whilst Mansfield Town and Stevenage played out a goalless draw.
