Round-up: The weekend action in League 2 saw the leadership change hands, as Forest Green Rovers moved to the league summit as they recorded a 2-1 win away to Cheltenham Town, thanks to goals from Jack Aitchison and Eliott Frear, with Luke Varney bagging a mere consolation for the hosts. Bradford City moved into second place in a 2-0 win at home to Exeter City and leapfrogged their opponents, in a match which ended with three players sent off. The home side raced into a two-goal lead thanks to an own goal from Pierce Sweeney followed by a James Vaughan strike. Exeter were then reduced to 10 men on the hour as Jake Taylor was shown a straight red card, before it was 10 against 10 just two minutes later as Bradford's Callum Cooke was shown a second yellow card, before Exeter were then reduced to NINE men as Tom Parkes too was shown a straight red card. Swindon Town moved into the automatic promotion slots, as they recorded a 2-1 win at home to Walsall thanks to goals from Eoin Doyle and Diallang Jaiyesimi, with Rory Gaffney scoring what proved to be a scant consolation for Walsall. Crewe Alexandra slipped from top spot into fourth place, as they suffered an arguably unexpected 1-0 defeat away to Port Vale thanks to a 61st minute goal from Jake Taylor. Newport County were another team this weekend who suffered defeat, as they lost 2-1 at home to an in-form Salford City side thanks to goals from Cameron Burgess and Lois Maynard, either side of a Nathan Pond own goal. Colchester United, who during the week advanced to the quarter-finals of the Carabao Cup where they will travel to Old Trafford to face Manchester United, moved to just one place outside the play-offs, as they recorded a 3-2 win away to Mansfield Town thanks to goals from Brandon Comley, Courtney Senior and Luke Gambin. Cambridge United came from behind to record a 2-1 triumph at home to Crawley Town, with all the goals coming in the final 10 minutes of the match. Beryly Lubala scored in the 80th minute to put Crawley in the lead, however, that lead only lasted 3 minutes as Sam Smith equalised for the hosts, who scored the winning goal 3 minutes later thanks to Paul Lewis. The comeback of the day in League 2 came in the North West of England, as Oldham Athletic fought back from two goals down to draw 2-2 at home to Northampton Town. Matty Warburton put Northampton in front after only 6 minutes, before they then doubled their lead with 10 minutes remaining thanks to Andrew Williams. However, the drama did not end there, as Oldham halved the deficit in the 85th minute thanks to Scott Wilson, before they salvaged a point thanks to an 89th minute goal from Jonny Smith. Carlisle United opened up some breathing space to the bottom, as they came from behind to win 2-1 at home to Macclesfield Town thanks to goals from Harry McKirdy and Ryan Loft, after Theo Archibald's 25th minute strike had given Macclesfield the lead. In their first game without longest-serving manager Jim Bentley (who was the longest-serving manager in England's top four divisions) since his move to AFC Fylde during the last week, Morecambe recorded a 1-0 win at home to promoted side Leyton Orient thanks to a 74th minute goal from AJ Leitch-Smith. However, this result was not enough to help Morecambe move off the bottom of the table, as Scunthorpe United and Stevenage played out a goalless draw.
