Round-up: Although it was bound to be very difficult to replicate the drama produced in League 1, League 2 did have some entertaining matches also. There were two five-goal thrillers, most notably a match involving Mansfield Town and Leyton Orient, with the latter coming from two goals down to win the game in the 90th minute thanks to Jordan Maguire-Drew, after Danny Rose had scored twice from the penalty spot for Mansfield. The other game which involved 5 goals was between Cambridge United and Scunthorpe United. Scunthorpe went down to 10 men after just 21 minutes, but this did not seemingly deter them as 20 minutes later Rory McArdle gave them the lead. It only took 2 minutes for Cambridge to turn the game completely on its head, as first Harvey Knibbs and then Paul Lewis scored to give them the lead. McArdle did equalise again for Scunthorpe, before Lewis then scored again for Cambridge to give them the win. There was also an entertaining match between Plymouth Argyle and Salford City, which ultimately ended in a draw - as Salford came from behind to lead 2-1 before Plymouth were awarded a late penalty which Dominic Telford converted in the 89th minute. There was another entertaining 2-2 draw, as Grimsby Town came from 2 goals down to draw at home to Colchester United thanks to a penalty from James Hanson and a late goal from Matthew Green. It was a disappointing night for early pace-setters Swindon Town, who fell to a surprise 1-0 defeat at home to Northampton Town, who themselves earned their first win of the season. In addition, it was also a poor night for Forest Green Rovers, who suffered their first defeat of the season, 2-1 away to Port Vale. It was, however, a very good night for Bradford City, who themselves won 1-0 away to Stevenage thanks to a Tom Soares own goal. Cheltenham Town continued their positive start to the season, as they won 2-0 at home to Carlisle United thanks to goals from Gavin Reilly and Luke Varney. Crewe Alexandra took full advantage of a poor night for the early pace-setters, as they came from behind to beat Crawley Town 2-1 to go top of the League 2 table. There were two goalless draws, as Oldham Athletic earned their first point at home to Exeter City, who had a 90th minute goal disallowed for offside, whilst Walsall and Newport County also played out a goalless draw.
