Charles Leclerc has secured his third consecutive pole position as he will be starting on pole in the 2019 Singapore Grand Prix, which it has to be said is a bit surprising. World Championship leader and Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton qualified on the front row for the second successive race after he produced a very impressive final lap in qualifying, which made amends for his earlier lap in the last part of qualifying which saw him make a mistake which cost him roughly half a second. It seemed as though Sebastian Vettel was going to take pole position as he produced a brilliant lap in the first part of qualifying, but made a mistake in his final lap which meant he could not improve and was ultimately leapfrogged by both Leclerc and Hamilton.
