It has been announced that the hearing over Manchester City's appeal regarding their two-year ban from European compeitions will be heard by the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) between the 8th and 10th June.
The ban, which had been announced on 14th February, was due to "serious breaches" of UEFA's Financial Fair Play rules, with UEFA going on to state that the club "overstated its sponsorship revenue in its accounts and in the break-even information submitted to UEFA between 2012 and 2016". In addition, they were handed a fine of €30m (£26.7m).
In the event that the ban was to be upheld and Manchester City did finish the season in the top four (if this season does get completed!), then the side in fifth place would inherit their Champions League slot.
