Premier League round-up: Liverpool held to draw, Norwich relegated

Michail Antonio celebrates scoring for West Ham as he bagged all 4 goals in a 4-0 win which relegated Norwich to the Championship.

Results: Norwich City 0 West Ham United 4 Watford 2 Newcastle United 1 Liverpool 1 Burnley 1 Round-up: The Premier League's weekend action began with two games concerning the relegation battle, which kicked off simultaneously. Norwich City hosted West Ham United knowing that a defeat would confirm their relegation back to the Championship after just one season in the top flight. In the end, Norwich fell to a 4-0 defeat thanks to four goals from Michail Antonio, in a result which strengthens West Ham's survival hopes whilst confirming Norwich's relegation. Meanwhile, in the other clash which kicked-off at the same time as Norwich's fixture, Watford came from behind to beat Newcastle United thanks to 2 penalties from captain Troy Deeney after Dwight Gayle had given Newcastle a first half lead, in a result which could be a massive shot in the arm in Watford's survival hopes.

After these two matches, champions Liverpool hosted Burnley at Anfield. Liverpool took a first half lead thanks to left-back Andy Robertson, before that was cancelled out thanks to Jay Rodriguez with 20 minutes remaining, aided also by some brilliant goalkeeping from Nick Pope.
