Round-up: The Premier League's weekend action began with a clash in the North West, as Everton hosted Chelsea in their first league game following the sacking of Marco Silva. As it turned out, current caretaker manager Duncan Ferguson could not have wished for a better start, as they recorded a 3-1 win thanks to a Dominic Calvert-Lewin brace, in addition to a 5th minute header from Richarlison, whilst Mateo Kovacic put himself on the score sheet for Chelsea. In the afternoon fixtures, Liverpool maintained their remarkable form thanks to a handsome 3-0 win away to AFC Bournemouth, thanks to goals from Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Naby Keita, and Mohamed Salah, meaning Liverpool have won 15 out of their 16 league games this season. Tottenham Hotspur continued their promising form since appointing José Mourinho in resounding fashion, as they won 5-0 at home to Burnley thanks to goals from Lucas Moura, Heung-min Son, Moussa Sissoko and a Harry Kane brace. Meanwhile, Watford remain at the bottom of the table, however, they did earn a point in a goalless draw at home to Crystal Palace. The action today concluded with a huge clash, as Manchester City hosted Manchester United in the Manchester derby. In the end, it was the red half of Manchester who prevailed in a 2-1 win, thanks to Marcus Rashford's penalty (United's eighth this season) after a foul by Bernardo Silva followed by a goal from Anthony Martial. Nicolas Otamendi then halved the deficit for Manchester City five minutes from time, however, this was not sufficient as United held on to claim all three points, in a result which leaves champions Manchester City already 14 points behind league leaders Liverpool.
