Round-up: The Premier League's weekend action came to a conclusion with two matches on two days, starting with a clash between two 'united' sides, as Sheffield United hosted Manchester United. In the end, neither side could take all three points, as Oli McBurnie scored a 90th minute equaliser to help salvage a point for the hosts. The hosts actually took a deserved 2-0 lead after a brilliant performance, thanks to goals either side of half-time from John Fleck and Lys Mousset, with the first goal being helped by inexplicably poor defending from Phil Jones, and one would argue that it could have been a bigger lead had it not been for some brilliant saves by Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea. Manchester United then halved the deficit in the 72nd minute thanks to half-volley from Brandon Williams, and in what was an outstanding seven-minute spell, they went into a 3-2 lead thanks to additional goals from Mason Greenwood (who bagged his first ever league goal for United). However, McBurnie's 90th minute equaliser denied the away side the victory and helped salvage a deserved point for the hosts. Finally, the action concluded with a Monday night clash, as Aston Villa hosted Newcastle United, who are under the management of former Aston Villa boss Steve Bruce. In the end, this was absolutely no happy return to Villa Park for Bruce, as the hosts ended a run of three successive league defeats to record their first win since the 19th October, thanks to two first-half goals from set pieces from Conor Hourihane and Anwar El-Ghazi.
