Round-up: The Premier League's weekend action came to a conclusion with two Sunday matches, with the first of those coming in South London, as Crystal Palace hosted high-flying Leicester City. After a goalless first half, Leicester took the lead thanks to a 57th minute Çaglar Söyüncü header from a brilliantly delivered corner kick by James Maddison, however, it must be noted that Crystal Palace's defending of the corner left a lot to be desired. In what was a rather tight match, the win was finally made safe thanks to Jamie Vardy's 10th league goal of the campaign in the 88th minute, which enabled Leicester to maintain third spot in the table.

The second game of the day, which brought week 11 of the Premier League to a conclusion came in Merseyside, as Everton hosted Tottenham Hotspur, in a match between two sides who it is fair to say have been struggling so far this season. In the end, the result did neither team any favours as a 97th minute goal from Cenk Tosun salvaged a point for the hosts as he cancelled out Dele Alli's 63rd minute goal which had put Tottenham in the lead. However, the result will undoubtedly be overshadowed by a horrific injury for Everton midfielder André Gomes as he collided into Serge Aurier following a very poor tackle by Tottenham's Heung min-Son, which resulted in Son being sent off and led to 12 minutes of additional time at the end of the second half (though some VAR did have an impact there). It is not completely known at this moment in time the injury for Gomes, and it would be unwise and inappropriate to speculate what it may be - hence no further comment will be made on the incident - though, it would be very appropriate to wish Gomes a speedy recovery.
