Round-up: The Premier League's midweek action began with three fixtures on Tuesday, starting with a London derby, as Crystal Palace hosted Chelsea at Selhurst Park. It took a mere 6 minutes for Chelsea to take the lead, and they did so thanks to a goal from striker Olivier Giroud. The lead was doubled in the 27th minute thanks to a Christian Pulisic goal, before Crystal Palace halved the deficit thanks to a Wilfried Zaha goal in the 34th minute. Tammy Abraham restored Chelsea's two goal lead in the 71st minute, before just a minute later Christian Benteke brought the score back to 3-2, and Crystal Palace came close to an equaliser late on as they hit the post, however, Chelsea ultimately held on for all three points in what may prove to be a crucial win in their battle for Champions League qualification. At the same time as the Crystal Palace v Chelsea clash, Watford hosted Norwich City in a crucial match down at the bottom. Norwich began the game well and took the lead after only 4 minutes thanks to a goal from Emiliano Buendia. However, that lead lasted only 6 minutes as Watford equalised thanks to a Craig Dawson goal. After going into half-time level at 1-1, Danny Welbeck then scored an overhead kick to give Watford a precious win in the battle to avoid relegation. As a result, Watford are now four points clear of the relegation places having played a game more, while this is an extremely damaging result for Norwich, who will be relegated on Saturday if they lose at home to West Ham (irrespective of what happens elsewhere). Finally, Tuesday's action came to a conclusion in North London, as Arsenal hosted Leicester City. Arsenal took the lead in the 21st minute thanks to a goal from striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, and looked on course to win the game, until in the 75th minute, having just come on as a substitute, Arsenal's Eddie Nketiah was shown a straight red card for a reckless challenge on James Justin, and ultimately Leicester exploited their man advantage and ultimately levelled the scoring in the 84th minute thanks to Jamie Vardy, in a result which means Chelsea have leapfrogged Leicester into third place.
