Eusebio Di Francseco has lost his job as Sampdoria manager after less than 4 months after a disappointing start to the league campaign.

Sampdoria have announced the sacking of manager Eusebio Di Francesco after a mere three-and-a-half months in charge, with the club lying bottom of the league having won just one game this season.

A club statement read: "UC Sampdoria president Massimo Ferrero has announced that an agreement has been reached with Eusebio Di Francesco and his coaching staff to terminate their contracts by mutual consent.

The club would like to thank Di Francesco and his team for their work."
