UEFA Euro 2020 qualifying round-up: England maintain 100% record, Turkey scrape victory over Andorra

Results: Group A Kosovo 2 Czech Republic 1 England 4 Bulgaria 0 Group B Lithuania 0 Ukraine 3 Serbia 2 Portugal 4 Group H Iceland 3 Moldova 0 France 4 Albania 1 Turkey 1 Andorra 0 Round-up: The European qualifiers continued on Saturday, and there were some brilliant results. In Group A, the action began with Kosovo hosting Czech Republic, and very impressively the hosts came from behind to win 2-1 thanks to goals from Vedat Muriqi and Mergim Vojvoda, after Patrick Shick had given the Czechs the lead. In the other match that took place in this group, England maintained their 100% start to the qualifiers as they recorded an ultimately comfortable 4-0 victory over Bulgaria as Harry Kane bagged a hat-trick, with two of the goals coming from the penalty spot, in addition to a goal scored by Raheem Sterling. There was also action in Group B, with Ukraine, currently top of the group, recording a very comfortable 3-0 win away to Lithuania thanks to goals from Oleksandr Zinchenko, Marlos and Ruslan Malinovskyi. The other match of the group saw reigning European champions Portugal record a brilliant and much-needed 4-2 win away to Serbia thanks to goals from William Carvalho, Goncalo Guedes, Cristiano Ronaldo and Bernardo Silva - with Nikola Milenkovic and Aleksandar Mitrovic getting themselves on the scoresheet for the hosts. There was also action which took place in Group I, as Iceland recorded a fairly straightforward win over Moldova thanks to goals from Kolbeinn Sigthorsson, Birkir Bjarnason and an own goal from Victor Mudrac. It looked like Andorra were going to earn their first ever point in European qualifiers, until Ozan Tufan scored a header in the 89th minute to give Turkey a very narrow 1-0 win. The other match of the group saw world champions France record a resounding 4-1 win over Albania thanks to a brace from Kingsley Coman, as well as goals from Olivier Giroud and Jonathan Ikoné, notwithstanding the fact that Antoine Griezmann missed a penalty for them. Albania got a late consolation goal as Sokol Cikalleshi scored a 90th minute penalty after a foul by French goalkeeper Hugo Lloris on Taulant Xhaka.
