Round-up: The European qualifiers continued today with the start of another matchday, and the action began with Armenia hosting Bosnia & Herzegovina. In the end, the home side came out on top in a 4-2 victory where Henrikh Mkhitaryan was the protagonist as he bagged a brace for Armenia, before goals from Hovhannes Hambardzumyan and an own goal from Stjepan Loncar wrapped up the win. There were two other matches which took place in this group, Group J, as the current top two in the group, Finland and Italy faced each other and it was Italy who prevailed in an eventual 2-1 win. Ciro Immobile gave them the lead just before the hour mark, but Finland equalised just under a quarter of an hour as they were awarded a penalty which was won by Teemu Pukki after a foul on the Norwich City striker in the penalty area, and Pukki himself converted the penalty. However, a few minutes later Italy were awarded a penalty of their own which Jorginho converted to extend their 100% record in the group. The other match played in this group saw Greece host Liechtenstein, with the away side earning a surprise point in a 1-1 draw away to the Euro 2004 champions. Another team who maintained their 100% record in the European qualifiers was Spain, who recorded a very comfortable 4-0 win over Faroe Islands thanks to a brace from Rodri and another brace from Paco Alcacer. Sweden and Norway faced off in a Scandinavian derby, and neither side could ultimately be separated as they played out a 1-1 draw, after Emil Forsberg cancelled out Stefan Johansen's earlier strike which had given Norway the lead. There was one other match played in this group, in which Romania claimed a slender 1-0 win over Malta thanks to a goal from George Puscas from a corner, although it must be said that the Maltese put up a very decent performance and they did have some chances to score. There were two other matches that took place, both in Group D. In what was certainly a surprise result, Georgia recorded a goalless draw at home to Denmark in a result which would certainly have come as a boost for the other two teams battling for automatic qualification - the Republic of Ireland, who were not in action today in this group, and Switzerland, who recorded a comfortable 4-0 win over minnows Gibraltar thanks to goals from Denis Zakaria, Admir Mehmedi, Ricardo Rodriguez and Haris Seferovic.
